Most parents are one of the kind lah. I can't be bothered, I
continue learning and even late into the nights. 
Textbooks aren't really useless, they are there for a purpose.
Don't get advanced books and try to read, will end up more blur.
Start with textbooks, they are very basic, understand them and pick
up other books or help people to make sure you have understood
concepts. If you help and get stuck halfway, you know the basics
are not there. Re-read the textbook again. Everything isn't as
simple as it seems.
